Rowland Wilson on Color (Updated with Color Pages)

The best thing about going to the San Diego Comic Con was meeting so many great people. One of the people I met was Suzanne Wilson, widow of the famous illustrator Rowland B. Wilson, who I was lucky enough to meet when he worked at Disney on "Hercules" and "Treasure Planet" (there's a nice memorial to Rowland here). Rowland was truly a nice guy as well as being an amazingly talented artist.

I mentioned to Suzanne how much people have loved the handouts of Rowland's that I have posted over the years. If you haven't seen them, here's the one on Light and Shadow and here's the one on Composition. If you haven't ever seen them before, check them out - they're amazing.

The third handout Rowland did was on color, but the only version I've ever seen was a black and white xerox, and it's pretty clear that it needs to be seen in full color to be completely understood (by me, anyway).

The other day Suzanne was nice enough to e-mail me two of the pages from this handout in color. So here is Rowland's pages on Color re-posted, with two of the black and white pages and now, for the first time, two of them in full color!
