Feelin' Blue

Sorry about a lack of posts lately. I've been feeling uninspired.

I did, however, feel inspired to experiment with blog colors! I don't know much about color but I do know that you can make a good picture by coloring it all one color and just putting variation in the values. Viola! A picture that feels unified because it's all one color and you can't get too far off-track and crazy with too many colors.

More stuff to come soon, be patient......inspiration will strike in a while.

Hi Mark,

Just wanted to pop in to say how much I like you're blog. I love your intelligent writing accompanied by you're great taste and it's one of the few blogs that talks about story.
Oh, and if you're lacking inspiration you can always post some Bill Peet drawings. No one will have a problem with that. At least I won't.

If you're looking for inspiration, perhaps you can post about the basics of transferring ideas onto paper. I'm terribly frustrated by the fact that I just can't seem to draw. I see drawings and I notice that the artist will often capture nuances that I would have never known to look for, or highlight. If you could blog about how an artist sees the world and translates that to the page I think that I would be inspired by you...

These colors remind of the Pottery Barn catalog for babies.

I know what you mean, I just don't feel like posting, got too much on my mind I think.

Your blog is one of the few "wordy" blogs that I read, and the info is great. I;m really enjoying these, "things they don't teach at school" posts. All that stuff I don't realize I don't know how to do, or I don't have any control over.

Some stuff that I have questions about:
complimentary angles
multiple char dialogue scenes, where theres more than two people talking, for example a group around a dinner table, some ways on how to establish screen direction.

Are you blue because Don is on vacation? Don't worry he'll be back. Keep your chin up buckaroo.

Wonderful information on your blog! I have been using bits and pieces in my comic art classes here at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. I've been encouraging my students to visit the "Temple" on their own as well. Keep posting, and I'll keep visiting!

Hi Mark,

I am an occasionally reader of your blog. I really love your "Things they don't teach in Art School" posts. First time I came to your blog, I felt really invited, because of the warm coloration - the sandish yellow. I hope you get your inspiration back soon, so that you can get rid of the purpelish blue again ;)

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take scarlet blade gold, but by the moments that take our breath away scarlet blade gold. I have a simple philosophy: Fill what's empty scarlet blade gold.

Life is like a hot bath. It feels good while you're in it, but the longer you stay in, the more wrinkled you get rs gold, Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So, love the people who treat you right and forget about the ones who do not Runescape Gold, In the Orient young bulls are tested for the fight arena in a certain manner rs gold. Each is brought to the ring and allowed to attack a picador who pricks them with a lance..
